These fellow bikers are on their way south. They started their journey over 5 weeks ago from Northern Washington state. It will take them only a couple of days to finish their trip in San Diego.

We've been warned!


On our way out of town we stop at Patagonia. This is the place where the company started. We enjoyed the tour of the store and old building.


The coast line towards Carpenteria.

The bluffs at Carpinteria are an inspiration to this painter. The area is mesmerizingly beautiful.

We're taking the scenic route north. It is a little longer, but we hope there will be less traffic and on/off freeway confusion.

We're saying goodbye to Pat and friend Deanne, before heading further north towards the Big Sur.


The country side stays picturesque.

The Monterey Peninsula is on the signs! It is on the north side of Big Sur.


We have our hands on some delicious treats for down the road.

Robin is steadily climbing up the slide. just before she reaches the top she slips and slides down. That's one way to dry the slide...

Cheyenne takes a moment to just dangle. What's going through her head? Jasmine enjoys being close to Kathy. She holds on to her new teddy, by the name of Teddy; a gift from the Cambria fire department.

Amarins is quite pleased with the result. The route is still 90% intact. Just a bit of Florida and Texas have been burned.
